Meet our Williamstown team
Abby graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from Charles Stuart University in 2009. Since this time she has worked extensively in private practice in Melbourne and recently spent 2 years working in London.
She is a former Victorian and Australian Lacrosse player and is a keen runner. She has worked with state and national lacrosse teams in the past and has also been the physiotherapist for local football teams.
Abby is highly trained in treating a wide variety of injuries from neck pain to ankle sprains. She has a passion for treating sports injuries and strives to get her clients back to exercising as soon as possible.
She received extensive training on running analysis and coaching whilst working in the UK and loves working with runners to help them achieve their goals.
Abby has completed training with the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute and can teach both mat work and reformer Pilates.
Carleigh is passionate about helping her clients achieve their goals with the aim to improve their overall quality of life. She has a particular interest in treating women’s health conditions, spinal presentations, ankles, and acute injuries, however, has experience treating a wide range of issues across the body.
Carleigh can also perform Pre-Pointe Assessments for dancers.
Carleigh has completed further training in Clinical Pilates, dry needling, sporting injury assessment and treatment. Currently, Carleigh is working as team Physiotherapist at Williamstown Soccer Club. In the past, she has worked with local men’s and women’s Aussie Rules football clubs.
Carleigh draws on her experiences to reduce pain and then strengthen the area for a sustainable approach to therapy.
Outside of work hours, you will find Carleigh eating her way through Melbourne’s restaurants one at a time, and travelling once borders open back up! She loves going for a walk and challenging herself at the gym.
Katie enjoys working with patients to achieve their goals through an active and collaborative approach to enable them to return to exercise and living as quickly as possible. She has experience in helping patients of all ages, especially in the area of falls prevention.
She has previously worked with touring teams in the national road series cycling, and indoor netball at both national and world series. She has also been the physiotherapist for local football teams and state or national level gymnastics. Katie has a passion both personally and professionally for running/endurance sports, snow sports and rock climbing. She has undertaken extra training in running rehabilitation and bike fits.
Katie has recently completed her Masters in Sports and Exercise Physiotherapy in 2021 as well as a Grad Certificate in 2018. She graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from the university of South Australia in 2013. She has a special interest in sports, having worked extensively in private practice and sporting coverage of various levels.
Outside of work Katie enjoys staying active through running, mountain biking, climbing or snowboarding. She loves to cook, read and has recently discovered a passion for vegetable gardening.
Daniel is experienced in the management of musculoskeletal and sports injuries. He has a particular interest in shoulder, spinal and knee injuries, and strength training. Having worked with a range of people; from kids to athletes, workers to retirees, he enjoys helping people understand and rehabilitate their injuries effectively and efficiently.
Daniel has worked in private practice Sports and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy across metropolitan, international and rural settings in Melbourne, Guernsey, Wimbledon (UK) and Hay (NSW). He has worked particularly closely with athletes from football, soccer, running, cricket, tennis and swimming backgrounds. He is currently a physiotherapist at North Melbourne Football Club and University Blues Football Club.
Daniel is currently completing the final year of the Master of Sports Physiotherapy at La Trobe University to become a Titled Sports Physiotherapist. He completed a Bachelor of Science (Anatomy) and Doctor of Physiotherapy from the University of Melbourne and since returning from the UK has completed the Graduate Certificate in Sports Physiotherapy at La Trobe University. He has also completed the APA Spinal Physiotherapy Lumbar and Cervical, Sports Physiotherapy Level I & II and Dry Needling for Sports & Spinal Injuries courses, and PD courses with world leaders in shoulder, lower limb tendinopathy and load management in the UK and Australia.
Outside of work, he loves sport and enjoys playing and watching footy and cricket, running and strength training.
Emma’s has a unique dual qualification in both Physiotherapy and Exercise Physiology which provides her with additional expertise in strength and conditioning and exercise prescription on top of her hands on Physiotherapy skills. She places a high emphasis on a holistic approach to tailor the appropriate care for each client and their individual needs and has an interest in a wide variety of musculoskeletal conditions.
Emma believes not just early in injury management but empowering and educating clients allowing them to benefit from treatment long term. Emma uses a variety of treatment methods including manual therapy and exercise-based techniques and has also completed her Dry Needling certification and is qualified to deliver the GLA:D program for hip and knee arthritis.
While not working Emma enjoys a variety of sport and physical activities including cricket, cycling and walks with her Border Collie Casper.
