Jason enjoys working with all types of people, and all areas of the body, but has a special interest in sports injuries and back/neck pain. Jason prides himself on using the most recent research evidence to inform his practice, but understands the importance of putting his patients at the centre of their treatment plan. He is a big believer that people “don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care” and he keeps this philosophy front of mind when working with his patients.
Jason joined Symmetry in 2022 after returning from 3 years working in the UK where he spent time gaining valuable experience working in both the NHS and private sector. Prior to moving to the UK, Jason spent 3 years working in private practice in Melbourne’s western suburbs after completing his Bachelor of Health Sciences and Master of Physiotherapy Practice at La Trobe University in Melbourne in 2016.
Jason has completed further professional development in the area of musculoskeletal and sports physiotherapy including courses specifically focused on the shoulder, hip and knee. He has also completed the Australian Physiotherapy Association Sports Level 1 course, as well as the necessary qualifications required to use dry needling as a treatment technique.
Jason has been the team physiotherapist for both semi-professional and social Soccer and Australian Rules Football teams. He is also a high-level athlete himself, playing in the VFL for Frankston and Williamstown for the previous 7 years before moving to the UK.
Outside of work, Jason has returned to Williamstown VFL Football Club where he will have a unique joint role as player and team physiotherapist for this season. He also enjoys spending time with family and friends and watching a good TV series.
